Even without a written tenancy agreement, you still have legal rights as a tenant. A verbal agreement is still a binding contract.

Proving the Tenancy Exists
Evidence can include:
- Bank statements showing rent payments
- Text messages or emails about the tenancy
- Utility bills in your name at the address
- Council tax records
- Any receipts for rent or deposit
If you don't have a written agreement, try to get one. It protects both you and your landlord.
